Civil War Wrap Up/Reconstruction

This week, we will wrap up our studies of the Civil War and begin talking about Reconstruction.  Each day we will watch Gone With the Wind, not only to see a cinematic glimpse of what life was like, but also to expose you to one of the most well known movies of all time.

You will be making a Facebook Profile (not the most updated version, but anyways....) for an important historical figure during the Civil War.  With a partner, you will research your person in order to better understand who they are.  What were they a part of? What would have been important to them? Who would they have been Friends with? Find all of this and then fill in the template to create your profile.  You may use these websites to help you research...

Good Morning!!  Today, you will be watching ME in several videos (I look a hot mess...but y'all are used to that!)  Follow along with that I tell you in these videos and you should be good!!


  1. You will need the notes for 5.5 that are on the front table.  This video cuts off on me at the last minute.  When you finish watching this, open up the actual Google Slide to access the video on Andersonville Prison Camp.
